OK so what was I trying to say? Nothing too profound. Just a cartoonish depiction of the sun fueling one man’Äôs beautiful day happening to be the hell that others were falling into. I have not decided if I was trying to depict some simplistic parody of a pseudo religious question (like what kind of people would actually be happy in heaven if they were aware that most of their friends they had known on earth were frying in hell), or if it is just my knee jerk guilt at having the temerity to have myself born in such a rich country at such an amazingly rich point in history that I could sit here picking my nose and sucking on a can of beer musing about this while a large fraction of humanity is obviously not so fortunate. The point behind the stickmen and the cartoon color scheme was mainly from an interest in how the most stripped down simple lines could have some kind of emotional content. OTOH maybe it was just trying to make the album jacket somehow loud enough to stand out on a rack in a store. Anyway I am not so sure what I was getting at but if you have any ideas about it I would love to hear them. BACK
